Emma Grede, The First Black Female Investor On Dragons' Den, Joins Bbc's Hit Show

Emma Grede, a millionaire entrepreneur and star of American TV, has announced that she is joining BBC‘s Dragons' Den. As the first black female investor to be featured on the US version of the show, Shark Tank, Emma has made a name for herself in both the fashion and business worlds.

Born in east London, Emma’s journey began when she dropped out of fashion college and secured an internship at Gucci. Later, she joined Inca Productions, a well-known producer of shows at London Fashion Week. At the young age of 26, she established her own talent marketing firm, ITB Worldwide, which worked with renowned clients such as H&M, TikTok, Tommy Hilfiger, and YSL Beauty.

Emma’s achievements didn’t stop there. In 2009, she became the first black female investor to appear on Shark Tank, the popular US version of Dragons’ Den. Now, she is set to guest star on BBC’s Dragon’s Den alongside well-known Dragons, Peter Jones, Deborah Meaden, Touker Suleyman, Sara Davies, and Steven Bartlett.

When asked about her decision to become a Dragon on the show, Emma expressed her excitement, stating, ‘I have been watching the show for so many years, so being able to come back to the UK as a Dragon to share my own experience with the budding entrepreneurs entering the Den is very exciting. What I’ve understood in my years in business is so much of it isn’t always about who has the best idea — it’s often who has access to the right opportunities.’

With an estimated net worth of £282 million, Emma Grede has made a name for herself in the business world. She has been recognized as one of Forbes‘ ’30 Under 30’ in the Marketing & Advertising category. Currently, she spends most of her time in America, residing in her luxurious £19 million Bel Air mansion. In 2022, she also purchased Brad Pitt‘s stunning Malibu holiday home for £27 million.

Emma is happily married to Swedish entrepreneur Jens Grede, who serves as the chief executive of SKIMS, the shapewear brand owned by Kim Kardashian. Together, they work on various projects, including Khloe Kardashian’s fashion line, Good American. The couple has four children, named Grey, Lola, Lake, and Rafferty.

With her impressive track record and success in the world of fashion and business, Emma Grede’s addition to Dragons’ Den is sure to bring a fresh perspective. Viewers can look forward to seeing her alongside the other Dragons as they assess and invest in new entrepreneurial ventures.
