Emotional Upheaval: Inside Out 2 Introduces New Voices And Characters To Riley's Teenage Mind

A new trailer and poster have been revealed for Disney and Pixar‘s Inside Out 2, directed by Kelsey Mann and produced by Mark Nielsen with a score by Andrea Datzman. The animated feature film is set to hit theaters on June 14, 2024.

The movie welcomes new Emotions to now-teenager Riley’s mind, with a stellar voice cast including Amy Poehler, Lewis Black, Phyllis Smith, Tony Hale, and Liza Lapira. Joining them are extra Emotions tailored for the teenage experience:

Kensington Tallman and Lilimar voice Riley Andersen and Valentina ‘Val’ Ortiz respectively, while Diane Lane and Kyle MacLachlan reprise their roles as Riley’s parents. Sumayyah Nuriddin-Green, Grace Lu, and Yvette Nicole Brown also join the cast, among other notable voices.

Also making an appearance is Anxiety, voiced by Maya Hawke, who introduces new characters like Envious, Ennui, and Embarrassed. The dynamic in Riley’s mind is evolving as she navigates high school and puberty, promising an emotional ride for fans.

The trailer showcases the changes in Riley’s mental landscape, hinting at the deeper complexities that come with adolescence. Disgust and Fear, originally played by Mindy Kaling and Bill Hader, have been recast with Liza Lapira and Tony Hale taking on the roles. Joy faces the challenge of managing a host of new Emotions as Riley’s journey unfolds.

With a blend of familiar faces and fresh voices, Inside Out 2 is poised to captivate audiences once again with its poignant exploration of emotions and growth in the unique world inside a teenager’s mind.
