Crypto Billionaire BLord Arrested on Allegations of Fraud and Terrorism Funding
The Nigerian Police Force has apprehended the social media influencer and cryptocurrency entrepreneur, Linus Williams, popularly known as BLord, on accusations of cryptocurrency fraud, terrorism funding, and other related offenses.
Confirming the arrest, the Nigerian Police Force Spokesperson, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, disclosed that the Financial Crimes Investigation Department (FCID) is currently looking into complaints lodged against BLord’s enterprises.
Adejobi stated, “The FCID (NPF-NCCC) is presently investigating complaints against BLORD GROUP, BLORD REAL ESTATE LTD, BLORD JETPAYE LIMITED, and BILLPOINT TECHNOLOGY for allegations covering cryptocurrency fraud, aiding internet fraud, computer-related fraud, terrorism funding, and non-compliance with regulatory standards.
He emphasized the commitment to thorough investigation, asserting the importance of ensuring the safety and security of Nigeria’s cyberspace.
Furthermore, Adejobi clarified, “We have him under custody for interrogation. Our cyberspace must be safe and secure by all means. We are committed to achieving that objective.”
BLord, a prominent figure known for showcasing his opulent lifestyle on social media platforms, has often been synonymous with cryptocurrency success and flamboyant displays.
