Dallas Cowboys Place Quarterback Dak Prescott on Injured Reserve
The Dallas Cowboys have announced the placement of quarterback Dak Prescott on injured reserve ahead of their Monday night game against the Houston Texans. This development follows Prescott’s recent hamstring surgery, which will rule him out for the remainder of the season.
Prescott, aged 31, had been a pivotal player for the Cowboys this season, completing 64.7 percent of his passes for a total of 1,978 yards. His performance included 11 touchdowns and eight interceptions across the eight games he played prior to his injury.
In an effort to bolster their squad, the Cowboys have signed cornerback Josh Butler to their 53-man roster from the practice squad. Butler has appeared in two games this season and has been involved in nine defensive snaps in addition to contributing 22 snaps on special teams.
Further roster changes include the elevation of cornerback Kemon Hall and tight end Princeton Fant from the practice squad to the active roster. These moves aim to fill the gaps left by Prescott’s absence and to strengthen the team’s line-up for upcoming games.
