Haringey Residents Urged to Register to Vote as Deadline Nears
Residents in Haringey, located in the United Kingdom, are receiving strong encouragement to ensure they are prepared for the upcoming elections as the registration deadline approaches. The deadline for voter registration is set for Tuesday, 18 June.
On Thursday, 4 July, voters across the United Kingdom will choose Members of Parliament (MPs) for the House of Commons. Additionally, Haringey will oversee a by-election in the Hornsey ward, where eligible voters will elect a new councillor to represent their interests.
Haringey residents must complete their voter registration by 11:59pm on Tuesday, 18 June. The registration process can be quickly and easily done online.
To participate in the general election, individuals must have registered to vote by 18 June, be at least 18 years old on election day, and hold British, Irish, or qualifying Commonwealth citizenship. While EU citizens are ineligible to vote in a general election, they may be eligible to vote in the Hornsey ward by-election.
If residents wish to vote by post, the deadline for application submission is 5pm on Wednesday, 19 June. For those opting for a proxy vote, the deadline is 5pm on Wednesday, 26 June. Missing the voter registration deadline means forfeiting the chance to have a say in the elections that matter.
