Katie Price Faces Arrest Warrant After Missing Bankruptcy Court Hearing
An arrest warrant has been issued for Katie Price after she didn’t show up for a court hearing about her bankruptcy. The former glamour model was supposed to attend a bankruptcy court in London but skipped out on it, even though she had been warned several times to be there.
Judge Catherine Burton made it clear that Price had been given “very clear warnings” and stated that the court had no choice but to issue this arrest warrant. She said, “It is in my judgment necessary that the court issue a warrant for Ms Price’s arrest.” The judge also mentioned that there was no real excuse for her absence, which made the situation even more serious.
Katie Price has been in financial trouble for a while. She first declared bankruptcy back in November 2019 due to unpaid debts and then again in March when she faced a hefty tax bill amounting to over £750,000. It seems that her financial struggles just keep piling on.
During the court hearing, Darragh Connell, the barrister representing the trustee in her bankruptcy cases, explained that they were in desperate need of information regarding Price’s income and asset situation. It was noted that Price hasn’t provided the basic information required, and this made it tough to get a clearer picture of her finances.
The judge emphasized that Price’s lack of communication has led to this unfortunate predicament. Connell mentioned that the situation has reached a point where Price will be detained, but he assured that it wouldn’t be for a long time. The idea is to make sure she attends a future hearing concerning her finances.
This isn’t the first time Price has faced legal troubles. Just a few months back, she was ordered to pay 40% of her monthly earnings from the adult entertainment platform OnlyFans to help with settling her bankruptcy debts. It’s clear that the struggle to manage her finances continues.
