A 64-year-old man has been charged with alleged voyeurism during one of Taylor Swift‘s shows at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh. The American pop star recently brought The Eras Tour to the UK with three electrifying performances in Scotland’s capital over the weekend.

Police Scotland confirmed the arrest of the suspect for voyeurism that took place at Murrayfield during the concert on Saturday, 8 June. Superintendent David Happs stated that the 64-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the offense and has been released to appear at the Sheriff Court at a later date.

Being charged with voyeurism implies deriving sexual pleasure from watching or recording others without their consent in private situations. It is officially defined as a criminal offense when the act is non-consensual, as per the Sexual Offences Act 2003 and the Voyeurism Offences Act 2019.

Taylor Swift’s three stadium shows at Murrayfield set a new benchmark with a record-breaking 73,000 fans attending each night, marking the highest-attended stadium concerts in the history of Scotland. The singer expressed gratitude to her Scottish fans on Instagram post-show, mentioning her joy at being welcomed so warmly and breaking attendance records.

The next stops on Taylor’s The Eras Tour include Anfield Stadium in Liverpool, followed by scheduled performances in Cardiff and London. This incident took place amidst her UK tour that has been attracting massive crowds and positive reviews.
