Saoirse Ronan and Jack Lowden have made headlines recently as the couple reportedly tied the knot in a private ceremony. The two actors, who have been together for about five years, managed to keep the details under wraps until now.

The intimate wedding took place over the weekend of July 20 in Edinburgh, Scotland, with only a few close friends and family members in attendance. This new chapter in their lives comes after years of dating, starting with the rumors about their relationship in December 2018.

Both stars have preferred to keep their personal lives away from the public eye, sharing snippets here and there on social media. Their romance blossomed on the set of the film Mary Queen of Scots where they played husband and wife; Saoirse as Mary and Jack as Lord Darnley.

While they have been seen together at various events, including the Australian Open in 2022 and sharing a few playful moments on social media in 2023, they’ve always managed to maintain a level of privacy. In fact, when asked about their relationship, both have been hesitant to discuss it, steering the discussion elsewhere.

Jack, a talented actor himself, won an Olivier Award for his role in Ibsen’s Ghosts and starred in Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk. The couple even shares a production company with producer Dominic Norris, with Ronan starring in their film The Outrun.

In June of this year, they were spotted enjoying the Glastonbury music festival together, further showing that their bond seems stronger than ever. This wedding marks a beautiful milestone for Ronan, 30, and Lowden, 34, who look forward to what the future holds together.
