President Bola Tinubu has expressed his condolences to the family of veteran journalist Kabir Yusuf, who tragically passed away on Tuesday. Yusuf, renowned for his coverage of the State House, served as the Federal Capital Territory correspondent for The Triumph Newspaper and Radio France Internationale Hausa. Through a statement by his media aide Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu extended prayers for the peaceful repose of Yusuf’s soul and offered solace to his grieving family during this difficult period.

Kabir Yusuf, affectionately known as ‘Kabir Sokoto’ among his colleagues in the State House Press Corps, was described as friendly and diligent. His presence as a journalist in the corridors of power will be deeply missed by those who knew him. News of his passing comes shortly after his return from a pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia, adding a poignant layer to the loss felt by both the journalism community and his loved ones.
