Fatal Crash in Comstock Township Leaves One Dead

COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A single-vehicle crash early Friday morning resulted in the death of one man in Comstock Township, according to the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office.

At approximately 12:47 a.m., deputies responded to reports of a traffic accident on East Main Street near Magnolia. Upon arrival, they discovered the vehicle had struck a tree and was fully engulfed in flames.

The lone driver, whose identity has not been released pending notification of family, was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency personnel. Investigators suspect that speed may have been a contributing factor in the crash.
