Sonic The Hedgehog 3 Trailer Release

Paramount Pictures has officially released the first trailer for the highly anticipated film, “Sonic the Hedgehog 3.” This new installment introduces Shadow the Hedgehog, a renowned antagonist from the franchise, voiced by actor Keanu Reeves. The film is set to premiere in theaters on December 20, 2024.

The third film in the series has been greenlit prior to the successful release of its predecessor, “Sonic the Hedgehog 2,” which debuted in April 2022. Although specific plot details remain undisclosed, the post-credits scene of “Sonic 2″ hinted at the introduction of Shadow.

Ben Schwartz will reprise his role as Sonic. The cast also includes returning faces such as Jim Carrey as the villainous Dr. Robotnik, James Marsden as Tom Wachowski, Tika Sumpter as Maddie Wachowski, and Lee Majdoub as Agent Stone. Colleen O’Shaughnessey and Idris Elba will return as the voices of Miles “Tails” Prower and Knuckles the Echidna, respectively.

Idris Elba recently starred in a live-action spinoff series titled “Knuckles,” which follows the character’s adventures on Earth after his introduction in “Sonic 2.” The miniseries showcased Knuckles training a character named Wade Whipple, played by Adam Pally, and took place between the second and third films.

The franchise began with the release of “Sonic the Hedgehog” in February 2020, and both films combined have garnered over $724 million at the global box office. Jeff Fowler, who directed the first two films, is set to return for this third installment.

The trailer indicates that Sonic and his friends, Knuckles and Tails, will face Shadow, a formidable new opponent whose powers exceed anything they have encountered before. In this struggle, they must forge unexpected alliances to protect their world.
