Former Nigerian Congressman Cairo Ojougboh Passes Away While Watching Afcon Semi Finals

A former member of the House of Representatives, Dr Cairo Ojougboh, has sadly passed away while watching the AFCON semi-finals match between Nigeria and South Africa. Dr Ojougboh, who represented the Ika Federal Constituency of Delta State, was a prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress.

The unfortunate incident occurred during the match when a penalty was awarded against Nigeria. According to sources close to the politician, Dr Ojougboh shouted and then suddenly collapsed due to a massive heart attack when South Africa scored their goal.

The family of the deceased has not yet released an official statement regarding his passing. However, confirmation of his death has been provided by Mr Augustine Ekamagule, the Publicity Secretary of Agbor Community Union. He stated that Chief Laurence Onyeche, the President General of the Agbor Community Union, informed them that Dr Ojougboh passed away in Abuja while watching the Nigeria vs South Africa football match.
