Former Shiv Sena Corporator Abhishek Ghosalkar Shot Dead During Facebook Live, Shooter Takes His Own Life

Former Shiv Sena corporator Abhishek Ghosalkar, the son of Shiv Sena leader Vinod Ghosalkar, was tragically shot dead during a Facebook Live video in Dahisar, Mumbai. The incident occurred while Ghosalkar was streaming the video with Mauris Noronha, also known as Mauris Bhai. In a shocking turn of events, Noronha abruptly left the livestream and proceeded to shoot Ghosalkar three times before taking his own life. Abhishek Ghosalkar was rushed to Karuna Hospital in Borivali but succumbed to his injuries.

The motive behind the shooting is not yet clear, but reports suggest that Ghosalkar and Noronha had previously had a personal dispute which they had recently resolved. Ghosalkar had been invited to Noronha’s office for an event when the incident took place. The entire incident was recorded live on Facebook and the video quickly went viral on social media.

Shiv Sena leader Anand Dubey has expressed his shock and called for a thorough investigation into the incident, stating that it highlights the growing lawlessness in Maharashtra. Dubey emphasized that such incidents of violence and firings in broad daylight should not be tolerated. The incident comes just days after a BJP MLA had allegedly opened fire at a rival Shiv Sena faction leader inside a police station in Ulhasnagar, raising concerns about the state’s law and order situation.

The shooting of Abhishek Ghosalkar is a tragic event that underscores the need for increased efforts to ensure the safety and security of citizens in Maharashtra. The authorities must conduct a thorough investigation to bring justice to the victims and hold the culprits accountable for their actions.
