Fort Bliss Easter Sunrise Service 2024

EL PASO, Texas – Fort Bliss is set to host its annual Easter Sunrise Service on Sunday, April 20, at 7 a.m. The event, organized by the 1st Armored Division and the Fort Bliss Religious Services Office, will take place at the 1LT Paul A. Noel Parade Field on Pershing Road.

This year’s service invites Soldiers, family members, Department of Defense civilians, and the local community to come together in a spirit of celebration and unity.

“This service is not just a tradition; it’s an opportunity for us to demonstrate our faith and connect with one another,” said Chaplain John Smith of the 1st Armored Division. “We encourage everyone to join us as we reaffirm our commitment to spiritual readiness.”

Attendees are encouraged to arrive no later than 6:30 a.m. to ensure timely entry and parking at the Buffalo Soldier Gate visitor parking lot off Airway Boulevard. Organizers stress the importance of punctuality given the event’s start time, as it allows participants to prepare for the service before it begins.

The Easter Sunrise Service stands as a significant moment for the Fort Bliss community, aiming to foster a sense of belonging and shared purpose among attendees. It features traditional religious elements, making it an uplifting experience for all involved.
