In the ongoing Lok Sabha elections in Haryana, the sixth phase of voting is witnessing a significant turnout across all 10 constituencies along with Karnal by-polls. Over 2.76 million eligible voters are set to choose their representatives from a pool of 223 candidates. The polling is scheduled from 7 am to 6 pm in 20,031 polling stations.

Political stalwarts like Manohar Lal Khattar, Dharambir Singh Saini, and Trilochan Singh are engaged in a heated electoral battle representing BJP and Congress. Election dynamics suggest a close contest between BJP, Congress, and other regional parties like JJP and INLD in most constituencies.

The Election Commission reported heavy voting by 3 pm in the Karnal-Mahendragarh constituency with 47.25% voter turnout. Noteworthy turnouts were also seen in Nalwa (59.50%), Uchana Kalan (54.10%), and Hansi (53.40%).

Instances of controversies emerged during the polling hours, including scuffles between BJP and Congress supporters in various regions. In Sirsa, allegations of money distribution at a polling booth stirred a commotion among party representatives. The security personnel intervened to resolve the situation.

As voting progresses amidst tight security, Karnal gears up for the legislative by-polls alongside the Lok Sabha elections. Nayan Pal Rawat and Trilochan Singh are the key contenders in the Karnal assembly by-election, enhancing the electoral fervor.
