Acc Men's Basketball Tournament 2025

BLACKSBURG, Va. — The Virginia Tech Hokies are set to begin their postseason journey in the 2025 T. Rowe Price ACC Men’s Basketball Tournament. The schedule was announced Saturday night, and Virginia Tech, the No. 10 seed, will face off against the No. 15 seed California on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. at Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The tournament takes place from March 11 to March 15 and marks the 72nd edition of the ACC Men’s Basketball Tournament, returning to Charlotte for the 14th time. It’s the third time the event is held at Spectrum Center, which previously hosted it in 2008 and 2019. The Hokies come into the tournament looking to replicate their success from earlier this season, where they narrowly defeated Cal 71-68 during their only meeting on January 11 in Berkeley, California, thanks to a standout double-double performance.

All tournament games will be available for viewing, with every matchup being streamed nationally on ESPN networks, including ACC Network, ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPNU. Additionally, fans can stream the games via ACCNX.

“We’re looking forward to the challenge,” said Hokies head coach. “Cal will be a tough opponent, but we are prepared and ready to compete.”

The tournament kicks off on Tuesday, March 11, starting with a matchup between No. 12 seed Notre Dame and No. 13 seed Pittsburgh at 2 p.m. Virginia Tech’s game against California follows at 4:30 p.m., and No. 11 Florida State takes on No. 14 Syracuse at 7 p.m.

As the tournament progresses, the winners from Tuesday’s first round will advance to face the top-seeded teams in the quarterfinals, scheduled for March 13. The No. 1 seed, Duke, clinched a double bye after securing the ACC regular-season title with a record of 28-3, including an impressive 19-1 in conference play. Louisville and Clemson follow as the No. 2 and No. 3 seeds, respectively.

The ACC Tournament has historically been a competitive stage, showcasing heated rivalries and thrilling matchups. This year’s edition is anticipated to feature intense contests, especially as teams vie for a chance at the championship title on March 15. “Every game counts, and we need to bring our best,” added the Hokies’ leading scorer.
