Hugh Jackman Radio City Music Hall Residency Announcement

Hugh Jackman is set to return to the New York stage in 2025 for a 12-concert residency at the iconic Radio City Music Hall. The Australian actor and singer will present a career retrospective, featuring music and performances from his extensive stage and screen repertoire. According to an official release, the residency will be titled “From New York With Love,” promising to delight fans with well-loved hits and “surprises from his career.”

Jackman will perform selections from his notable musical roles in productions like “The Boy From Oz,” “The Greatest Showman,” and “The Music Man.” His musical endeavors also include Tom Hooper‘s film adaptation of “Les Misérables” and various revivals of “Oklahoma!” and “Carousel.” At 55, Jackman’s live performances build on past solo shows such as “The Man. The Music. The Show” world tour in 2019 and “Hugh Jackman: Back on Broadway” in 2011.

The series is scheduled to commence on the weekend of January 24, 2025, with performances spread across select weekends in April, May, June, and July, culminating in final shows on August 15 and 16. Jackman shared the announcement on social media with the help of his “Deadpool & Wolverine” co-star, Ryan Reynolds. In a playful video, Reynolds joined Jackman, with Jackman inviting Reynolds to his live shows, to which Reynolds humorously declined but then showed enthusiasm for Jackman’s return to the stage.

The video announcement also highlighted Reynolds and Jackman’s recent success with “Deadpool & Wolverine,” which, according to the latest reports, has grossed $1.3 billion globally, establishing itself as the highest-grossing R-rated movie in history. Jackman reflected on his experience stating, “It was the time of my life. Ryan and I had such a great adventure together.”

The announcement has sparked excitement among fans, eager to witness Jackman’s multifaceted talent live once more. However, despite the frequent pairing of Jackman and Reynolds, fans should not expect Reynolds to make an appearance in this upcoming show. Instead, Jackman is embracing this as a personal return to his musical roots, as he continues to share his love for the stage with audiences worldwide.
