Iconic Bar-B-Barn Restaurant Closes After Decades of Service in Montreal
The owners of the iconic Bar-B-Barn restaurant in the west island of Montreal have made the difficult decision to permanently close their doors. Since 1967, Bar-B-Barn has been serving up its famous ribs and chicken, with its initial location on Guy Street in downtown Montreal.
The second branch, situated on Sources Boulevard in Dollard-des-Ormeaux, has also ceased operations. The downtown location shuttered in 2020, attributing the final blow to the restaurant to the COVID-19 pandemic.
After nearly five decades of serving its loyal customers, the second establishment will be closing its doors for the final time, with the last plate of ribs set to be served on March 17th.
