Indian 2 Box Office Collection: Kamal Haasan Starrer Surpasses Expectations Despite Mixed Reviews

Indian 2, the much-awaited sequel under the direction of Shankar and starring the legendary Kamal Haasan, has made a dazzling entry into the box office.

Despite releasing in the midst of critical feedback, Indian 2, also known as Bharateeyudu 2 and Hindustani 2 in different regions, soared above expectations on its opening day.

The film faced competition from Sudha Kongara‘s Sarfira, featuring Akshay Kumar, and Nag Ashwin‘s Kalki 2898 AD with a stellar cast including Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, and Deepika Padukone.

Kamal Haasan essays the role of Supreme Yaskin in Kalki 2898 AD and plays the iconic Senapathy, also known as Indian Thatha, in Indian 2.

Shankar and the late writer Sujatha have delivered multiple hits including Enthiran, Mudhalvan, Boys, and Shivaji: The Boss, solidifying their positions in the Tamil film industry.

Anirudh‘s music complements the sequel, while A R Rahman‘s tunes added magic to the original.

Indian 2 boasts a stellar ensemble cast with actors like Siddharth, S J Suryah, Bobby Simha, Gulshan Grover, and the late Nedumudi Venu.

The film makers’ efforts to get a 6 am show in Tamil Nadu were denied, but they managed to secure an additional screening in the first three days.
