Indian Women's Hockey Team Suffers Third Consecutive Loss In Fih Pro League

The Indian women’s hockey team faced disappointment once again as they suffered their third consecutive loss in the FIH Pro League. This time, they were defeated by Australia with a scoreline of 3-0. Janneke Schopman and her team will be looking to turn their poor run of form around after failing to qualify for the Paris Olympics.

Bengaluru FC secured a 1-0 victory against Chennaiyin FC at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium. The winning goal came in the 62nd minute through the efforts of Ryan Williams. Gerard Zaragoza played a crucial role in helping his team climb from 11th to 6th spot in the league standings.

Amit Panghal, Akash, and Abhimanyu showcased their skills and advanced to the quarter-finals of the 75th Strandja Memorial Tournament held in Sofia, Bulgaria. The upcoming quarter-final matches will commence on Thursday. Other Indian boxers, Nikhat Zareen, Sakshi, and Arundhati Choudhary will also be competing in their respective weight categories against tough opponents from France, Uzbekistan, and Serbia.

Additionally, Jugnoo, Sagar, and Naveen will represent India in their quarter-final bouts depending on the results of their respective matches. The 75th Strandja Memorial Tournament is a prestigious European sporting event which showcases India’s boxing prowess.
