Indictments Handed Down in Prestigious Lord Case in Arizona
Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell disclosed on Wednesday that a total of six individuals have been indicted in relation to the tragic death of Preston Lord in Queen Creek, Arizona. Mitchell, along with officials from the Queen Creek Police, revealed the names of the suspects as Dominic Turner, William Hines, Talan Renner, and Talyn Vigil during a joint press conference. Following this, Mitchell announced two additional indictments, Taylor Sherman and Jacob Meisner, elaborating on the ongoing investigation.
All six accused individuals are facing charges of first-degree murder and kidnapping, with Turner also being accused of robbery and Meisner facing aggravated robbery charges. Renner and Vigil are yet to make their initial court appearance. According to Mitchell, the investigation was a massive undertaking, involving numerous potential witnesses and intricate details that needed careful piecing together.
The suspects in question, Jacob Meisner, Talan Renner, Dominic Turner, William Owen Hines, Taylor Sherman, and Talyn Vigil, are all currently being held on $1 million bond. Preston succumbed to his injuries two days later at a local hospital, prompting extensive investigations and public outcry. The recent ruling by the medical examiner officially classified Preston Lord’s death as a homicide, shedding light on the severity of the incident.
On Thursday night, a vigil is planned in the Phoenix Ranchettes neighborhood, close to where the tragic event took place. The ceremony will serve as a remembrance of Preston Lord and a symbol of unity within the community as they seek closure and justice in the wake of this devastating loss.
