Indie Rock Sensation The Last Dinner Party Announces Uk And Ireland Tour

One of this year’s most exciting new acts, The Last Dinner Party, is set to embark on a UK and Ireland tour. The band, consisting of talented musicians including lead singer Abigail Morris, lead guitarist Emily Roberts, rhythm guitarist Lizzie Mayland, bassist Georgia Davies, and keyboardist Aurora Nishevci, emerged from the depths of lockdown to capture the hearts of music lovers.

The Last Dinner Party gained fame by honing their skills in London’s live circuit and building an enthusiastic fanbase. In 2022, they were even selected as the opening act for legendary rock band The Rolling Stones at Hyde Park, solidifying their talent and presence. Their debut single, “Nothing Matters,” released in April 2023, further cemented their status as a rising indie rock sensation.

Undoubtedly, 2024 is shaping up to be an incredible year for The Last Dinner Party. They were recently crowned the winners of the prestigious BBC Sound of 2024 award, which saw them being praised by over 140 industry experts and artists, including the likes of Olivia Rodrigo and Chase & Status. This award has previously launched the careers of renowned artists such as Adele. Additionally, the band also snagged the Brits’ Rising Star 2024 award, which has been bestowed upon successful acts like Florence & The Machine and Sam Fender.

Expressing their gratitude, The Last Dinner Party said, “We are humbled to be a part of such an amazing lineup of talented artists this year. BBC Radio has been instrumental in supporting us and our fellow up-and-coming musicians from the start. We are thrilled by this recognition and excited to be a part of the resurgence of guitar-driven music.”

The Last Dinner Party, originally formed by Morris, Davies, and Mayland while studying at King’s College London in 2020, later expanded to include Roberts and Nishevci from Guildhall School of Music & Drama. Initially known as ‘The Dinner Party,’ the band found their identity with the addition of ‘Last’ to their name.

Their debut album, “Prelude to Ecstasy,” has received critical acclaim, evidenced by the infectious energy of tracks like “Burn Alive.” As anticipation builds, fans will have the opportunity to witness The Last Dinner Party’s energetic performances across the UK and Ireland. The tour will begin in Newcastle and visit various cities before culminating in the band’s biggest headline show to date at London’s Eventim Apollo.

Tickets for The Last Dinner Party’s tour are now available, starting at £27.50 (excluding booking fees). While most of the venues are standing, some, like Nottingham’s Rock City, have seating options. To stay updated on ticket releases and other music events like this, sign up for our free newsletter.
