Jason Sudeikis Shows Support for Iowa Hawkeyes at March Madness Game
Amidst the electrifying atmosphere of March Madness, actor Jason Sudeikis, known for his role in the hit show ‘Ted Lasso‘, recently made a high-profile appearance at a college basketball game, showing his fervent support for the Iowa Hawkeyes.
The game, a pivotal Elite Eight matchup between Iowa and LSU, marked a significant moment as it set the stage for a thrilling rematch of last year’s national championship game.
Sudeikis’ allegiance to the 1 seed Iowa team was unmistakable as they successfully avenged their previous loss to LSU, securing a decisive victory that propelled them into the highly coveted Final Four round.
Throughout the game, Sudeikis was seen enthusiastically performing the ‘You can’t see me’ gesture, a signature move made famous by Iowa player Caitlin Clark, serving as a vivid display of his support for the Hawkeyes.
This was not the first instance of Sudeikis gracing an Iowa basketball game with his presence, as he had previously attended a matchup in December where the Hawkeyes dominated Bowling Green in a commanding 99-65 win.
Alongside Sudeikis at the December game was renowned college basketball and WNBA legend Sue Bird, further highlighting the star-studded audience that Iowa games have been attracting.
Born in Fairfax, Virginia, Sudeikis attended Fort Scott Community College in Kansas before establishing his ties to Johnson County, which he considers his hometown. Having graduated from Shawnee Mission West High School in Overland Park, Kansas, Sudeikis’ connection to the region adds a personal touch to his unwavering support for the University of Iowa.
