Jodi Turner-Smith Opens Up About Love and Life After Marriage

LOS ANGELES, CA — Jodi Turner-Smith, the star of ‘Tron: Ares,’ recently shared her thoughts on love and motherhood in an interview with PEOPLE. The 39-year-old actress expressed that despite being single, she remains open to love.

Turner-Smith stated, “I’m single, but I love love. So let’s see what happens!” She emphasized how she balances her roles as a mother and an actress without compromising either.

“I love mothering and I love working, and I don’t feel I should have to choose between them,” Turner-Smith said. She is the mother of a five-year-old daughter, Juno, and teaches her the importance of managing both family and career.

While focusing on her daughter, Turner-Smith is also busy filming season two of PARAMOUNT+’s ‘The Agency’ in London. She splits her time between work and home in Los Angeles, and she has plans for a vacation to Jamaica, her parents’ homeland.

“My priority is my daughter,” she reaffirmed. “If I’ve made time to go out on a date with you, you need to figure it out. Send a car. Where are you taking me? A real date! Not a meetup.”

Turner-Smith’s expectations for a partner have changed since her split from husband Joshua Jackson in 2023. “Anybody who wants to deal with me or date me or love me needs to understand that Juno is my priority,” she said.

She humorously compared her ideal romantic partner to her character Samia’s love interest in ‘The Agency,’ saying, “It’s incredible to see the lengths that he will go to for the woman that he loves.” Turner-Smith is looking for a partner who is equally devoted.

“Are you going to commit treason for me or not?” she joked about her dating philosophy. Turner-Smith stars alongside others in ‘Tron: Ares,’ which is currently in theaters.
