Jodie Sweetin Stars in Lifetime’s New Movie About Incel Culture

LOS ANGELES, CA — Jodie Sweetin will star in Lifetime’s new film, “Dateless to Dangerous: My Son’s Secret Life,” set to premiere on June 21 at 8 p.m. EDT. Sweetin plays Noelle, a recently single mother navigating the challenges of raising two teenage children.
The movie follows Noelle’s son, Miles, played by Alexander Elliot, who becomes involved with an online community of involuntary celibates, commonly referred to as “incels.” The film portrays how Miles’s experiences with rejection at school lead him to this toxic subculture, where he develops hostility towards women.
Sweetin’s character, alongside her daughter Haley, portrayed by Nikki Roumel, grows increasingly concerned about Miles’s behavior and isolation. They both strive to help him avoid falling deeper into this harmful online culture.
“Incel culture is a growing issue that affects many young people today,” Sweetin said in a statement. “I’m honored to be part of a project that highlights these real challenges and promotes healthy family dynamics.”
The film is directed by Stefan Brogren, while Caitlin English and the Entin brothers, Gary and Edmund, penned the script. Sweetin is known for her role as Stephanie Tanner on the iconic series “Full House” and her recent appearance in Lifetime’s “Handyman from Hell.”
As the drama unfolds, the film aims to shed light on difficult family conversations surrounding mental health and internet influence.
In a preview of the film, Noelle and Haley work together to support Miles and encourage open dialogue, which is essential for addressing the underlying issues he faces.
“Dateless to Dangerous” promises to be a compelling look at the impact of digital communities on our youth and the importance of family support during turbulent times.
