NORMAN, Okla. — Former Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel is set to speak at the Reynolds Performing Arts Center on April 24 as part of the Campus Activities Council (CAC) Speakers Bureau.

Manziel, who rose to fame during his time at Texas A&M and was later drafted by the Browns, will participate in an event titled “Johnny Manziel: More Than Football.” The event is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 6 p.m.

The announcement comes in conjunction with the release of a Netflix documentary titled “Untold: Johnny Football.” The film chronicles the highs and lows of Manziel’s football career, featuring interviews with friends, former coaches, and insights from Manziel himself.

In addition to his speaking engagement, Manziel is currently the host of a podcast on Almost Friday Media, where he interviews prominent athletes and discusses pivotal moments in sports history. He is also launching his own line of hats as part of his entrepreneurial ventures.

Students have supported this initiative through annual fees amounting to approximately $14. The campus community is encouraged to engage with Manziel, with a VIP raffle providing an exclusive opportunity to meet the former player. Details regarding raffle entry will be available through the CAC.

In previous years, the CAC has hosted a variety of speakers, including internet personality Noel Miller in 2022 and former Nickelodeon star Josh Peck in 2023. Last year, a former Buzzfeed personality participated in a Q&A session.

This event promises to be a memorable occasion for students and the broader community, as attendees can gain insights into Manziel’s life and career, both on and off the field.

The CAC is actively promoting the event and encourages participation from students and others interested in experiencing Manziel’s journey.
