Kanye West Ai Music Video Daughters

Kanye West, the influential and often controversial rapper and producer, has sparked significant backlash with his latest music video for the song “Bomb.” The video, which features vocals from his daughters North, 11, and Chicago, 6, has drawn criticism for its use of artificial intelligence to depict the likeness of his daughters.

The music video is set in a “Mad Max”-esque environment with futuristic vehicles, including some that resemble Tesla Cybertrucks, driven by North and Chicago. However, the decision to use AI to produce the video has been met with strong disapproval from fans and critics alike.

Comments on social media platforms like YouTube and Reddit reflect the public’s dissatisfaction. One commenter on YouTube expressed, “AI slop of your own daughters. Ye please stop using AI,” while another person stated, “I cannot believe that brother made an AI music video with his own daughters.”

The use of AI in the music video also raises broader ethical and environmental concerns. The media and marketing industries have increasingly relied on AI, which has been criticized for cutting costs by replacing human jobs and contributing to environmental issues. Data centers for AI accounted for 4% of energy use in the U.S. in 2022, and experts predict that global electricity demands for AI will be substantial by 2027, contributing to environmental problems.

Despite these criticisms, there are ongoing efforts to make AI more energy-efficient, which could mitigate some of the environmental impacts. However, for now, fans remain unhappy with West’s decision to use AI in his music video, feeling that it undermines the talents of human artists who could have been involved in the project.
