Keanu Reeves Joins ‘Sonic 3’ as Voice of Shadow the Hedgehog
Keanu Reeves, the iconic star of ‘John Wick,’ is set to make an entrance into the Sonic universe by voicing the character Shadow in the upcoming ‘Sonic 3‘ movie, as revealed by several sources.
The announcement follows a presentation at CinemaCon by Paramount showcasing the first look at ‘Sonic 3,’ which unveiled that Jim Carrey‘s Dr. Robotnik creates Shadow the Hedgehog, a character added to the games in 2001’s ‘Sonic Adventure 2,’ marking a darker counterpart to Sonic.
Paramount’s Sonic film series commenced in 2020 with ‘Sonic the Hedgehog,’ followed by ‘Sonic the Hedgehog 2’ in 2022, all directed by Jeff Fowler and featuring Ben Schwartz as Sonic and James Marsden as Sonic’s human ally, Tom Wachowski.
In recent years, Keanu Reeves has been a box-office sensation, with notable roles in ‘John Wick: Chapter 4’ and ‘The Matrix: Resurrections.’ He is also set to star in ‘Good Fortune‘ and ‘John Wick Presents: Ballerina’ alongside Ana De Armas.
