Og Anunoby Knicks Basketball Game

INDIANAPOLIS — The New York Knicks fought hard to stay in the playoff race, defeating the Indiana Pacers 106-100 in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference finals on Sunday night. The Knicks now trail the series 2-1.

OG Anunoby‘s unexpected display of emotion was a highlight of the night. After blocking a shot from Aaron Nesmith in the fourth quarter, he shouted towards his opponent, showcasing the intensity he brought to the game. “OG was terrific,” said Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau after the matchup.

Anunoby had a strong performance, scoring 16 points and shooting 4-of-6 from beyond the arc. His key 3-pointers helped the Knicks close a 20-point gap, cutting the Pacers’ lead multiple times throughout the game.

“Just shooting my shot with confidence, not worrying about missing,” Anunoby said. “Just shooting good shots and it will even out over time with a greater sample size.”

Defensively, Anunoby contributed significantly with three blocks and one steal, showing an improved effort against his former teammate Pascal Siakam, who had previously scorched the Knicks with a playoff career-high of 39 points in Game 2.

“Pascal is a great player,” Anunoby said. “So, just trying to make it as difficult as possible.”

The Knicks need Anunoby to continue his aggressive play, especially after signing him to the biggest contract in franchise history. His contributions could be vital as the team aims to even the series in Game 4 on Tuesday night.
