Lana Del Rey Jeremy Dufrene Marriage License

Lafourche Parish in Louisiana is abuzz with the news that pop star Lana Del Rey and her boyfriend, Jeremy Dufrene, have taken a significant step towards marriage. According to a report from NOLA.com, court records indicate that the couple applied for a marriage license earlier this week at the clerk of court’s office in Thibodaux, a town approximately an hour from New Orleans. The application required a fee of $32, paid in cash.

Lana Del Rey, known for her hit “Summertime Sadness,” and Dufrene, 49, have been in the spotlight recently, especially after navigating Hurricane Francine together in the Louisiana bayou. Under Louisiana state law, couples have 30 days from the issuance of a marriage license to hold the ceremony before the license expires.

Speculation about the couple’s relationship began in late August when they were observed together in England, prior to Del Rey’s performance at the 2024 Reading & Leeds Festival. British media fueled the rumors after the couple was seen enjoying a quiet evening at a London pub.

Jeremy Dufrene, a boat captain for Airboat Tours by Arthur Matherne and native of Des Allemands, has reportedly known the pop star since 2019. The pair first met when Del Rey took one of Dufrene’s renowned swamp tours during a visit to Louisiana, and she shared photos from the trip on social media, which maintained their connection.

This May, Del Rey returned to Louisiana and reunited with Dufrene for another tour before headlining the 2024 Hangout Fest in Orange Beach, Alabama. Throughout the summer, Del Rey continued to share photos from the New Orleans region, including a notable picture from Tic-Toc Café in Metairie.

Fans of Del Rey are eagerly anticipating further news regarding their nuptials, which may occur before the license’s expiration in late October. Currently, Del Rey appears prepared to embrace life with Dufrene, affectionately referred to as her “bayou boy.”

Recent reports have also highlighted Dufrene’s career transition from working in a chemical plant to becoming an airboat captain, a role he found more fulfilling with encouragement from his family. His work on the bayous has been described as an ideal fit.
