The Legends League Cricket 2024 is poised to commence its final leg in Srinagar, with the Bakshi Stadium hosting what many are heralding as a landmark event in the region’s cricketing history. Scheduled from October 9, the league will see numerous renowned former international cricketers in action until October 16. The excitement at the newly renovated Bakshi Stadium is palpable as fans anticipate witnessing seven thrilling T20 games.
Among the legends gracing the field are Chris Gayle, Hashim Amla, Irfan Pathan, Yusuf Pathan, Shikhar Dhawan, Dinesh Karthik, Mohammad Kaif, Harbhajan Singh, Suresh Raina, Upul Tharanga, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Ross Taylor, and Ian Bell, among others. Notably, Martin Guptill, leading the Southern Super Stars alongside Dinesh Karthik, has guided the team to the top of the league tables with five wins and only one loss in their six games.
The league leaders, Southern Super Stars, will inaugurate the playoffs against Toyam Hyderabad. The match is slated for 3:00 PM. The Hyderabad team boasts players like Hashim Amla, local star Abid Nabi, Suresh Raina, and Shaun Marsh.
