Alina Habba U.s. Attorney Office Incident

Washington, D.C. — A man caused significant damage to the New Jersey federal prosecutor’s office on Wednesday evening after being denied a meeting with U.S. Attorney Alina Habba. The disturbing incident, which occurred in the waiting area of the office, left staff alarmed but resulted in no injuries, according to law enforcement sources.

The individual was initially denied entry earlier in the day because he was carrying a baseball bat. When he returned later without the bat, he was admitted and seated in the waiting room. After his request to meet Habba was again turned down, he reportedly became agitated and began to ransack the office.

“He literally went crazy,” one source said, describing how the man smashed items in the waiting area.

Habba was not present during the incident. In a statement made via social media on Thursday, she said, “I will not be intimidated by radical lunatics for doing my job.”

Authorities have identified the suspect as 51-year-old Keith Michael Lisa and have issued a warrant for his arrest. He faces charges of possession of a dangerous weapon in a federal facility and depredation of federal property. A $25,000 reward has been offered for information that leads to his arrest and conviction.

U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi condemned the violence, stating in a social media post, “Any violence or threats of violence against any federal officer will not be tolerated. Period.”

The incident has raised concerns about security protocols at federal buildings, especially given the high tensions public officials have faced recently.

Officials are now reviewing security measures and have stated that they will enhance protections to prevent similar incidents in the future.
