NEET PG 2024 Exam Date Advisory by NBEMS for Students
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has issued an advisory for students appearing for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for postgraduate courses (NEET PG). The advisory aims to caution students against falling victim to fraudulent agents and touts.
In the issued advisory, NBEMS highlighted the deceptive practices of some individuals who are attempting to deceive students in the pretext of representing the Board. It stated, ‘It has been observed by NBEMS that a few unscrupulous agents and touts are propagating false and misleading information to candidates by using fake notices, emails, SMS, or social media content in the name of NBEMS for illicit purposes.’
The Board also cautioned students to exercise caution and not trust any misleading information circulating on social media platforms regarding the NEET PG examination. It emphasized that all official notices from NBEMS since July 2020 are accompanied by a QR code, which upon scanning redirects users to the official notice on the NBEMS website.
Students were reminded that NBEMS does not have any official presence on social media platforms, including ‘X’. The advisory explicitly advised candidates to remain vigilant and not succumb to the false promises or deceptive practices of unauthorized agents or touts who may offer assistance through fabricated emails, SMS, or social media content.
In the advisory, NBEMS reiterated that the Board does not communicate with candidates via email or SMS regarding performance enhancement in any of its examinations. Furthermore, in the event of any encounter with deceitful agents or touts promising undue favors or attempting to provide examination content through fraudulent means, students were encouraged to report such incidents to NBEMS through its Communication Web Portal or to local law enforcement for further investigation.
