New Album ‘Pub Royal’ by Les Cowboys Fringants Released to Rave Reviews
Canadian band Les Cowboys Fringants has delighted fans with the release of their 12th album, ‘Pub Royal‘, marking a significant moment for the group.
Available for digital download since midnight, the album features 13 tracks, including 10 songs and three instrumental pieces originally created for a musical of the same name. Karl Tremblay, the band’s lead singer, contributed vocals to six tracks on the album.
A music video was also unveiled for the song ‘La fin du show‘, featuring nostalgic footage of Tremblay. The emotional 7-minute piece pays homage to the late artist’s life, both on stage and in personal moments.
Directed by Louis-Philippe Eno, the music video captures the essence of the song’s lyrics, touching on themes of life, death, and appreciation for the present moment.
In a heartfelt message, Jean-François Pauzé, the band’s main songwriter and guitarist, expressed mixed emotions as the album was released posthumously in collaboration with Tremblay’s spirit.
Karl Tremblay passed away on November 15, leaving behind a legacy of musical excellence and a loyal fan base. The album ‘Pub Royal’ serves as a tribute to his memory and artistic contribution to the band.
For now, the album is only available in digital format, with a CD version set to be released on May 10, and a vinyl edition expected later this summer. Fans and music enthusiasts alike eagerly anticipate the physical releases of the album.
