Sony Playstation Ps5 Pro Model Release

London, EnglandSony is reportedly preparing to launch a new PS5 Pro model, the CFI-7121, at the end of September 2025. According to a leak from reliable insider billbil-kun, the console will debut in Europe on September 30, though its release in the United States remains uncertain.

The new PS5 Pro is expected to retail for €799.99, maintaining the same price as its predecessor, with no reductions in its 2TB SSD storage capacity. Unlike the recently released PS5 Slim model, which saw a decrease in storage from 1TB to 825GB, the Pro version aims to keep its original specs intact.

“Sony is set to launch a new version of the PS5 Pro on the European market, identified by the reference CFI-7121. Availability on the American continent remains uncertain at this time,” billbil-kun stated in a social media post.

While detailed specifications about the PS5 Pro model are scarce, reports suggest that improvements may be limited to better energy efficiency. “The improvements to this model, which are still unknown, are likely to be modest,” said billbil-kun. “However, one thing seems certain: there will be no reduction in its 2TB SSD storage capacity.”

There is speculation that the new model’s release could relate to global tariffs affecting the gaming industry, prompting Sony to find ways to reduce production costs. Additionally, regulations in the European Union focus heavily on energy efficiency, which might influence Sony’s upgrades.

As of now, Sony has not officially confirmed any details regarding the PS5 Pro CFI-7121 model or the reasons for its production. Despite the uncertainties surrounding its release, there appears to be no inconvenience for European consumers, as the new model does not entail a price hike or decreased storage, unlike the earlier revisions.

For now, fans in Europe may want to hold off on purchasing a PS5 until the new model launches later this month.
