New Terra Luna Resort Offers Affordable Stay Near Epic Universe
ORLANDO, Fla. — The newly opened Terra Luna Resort at Universal Orlando‘s Epic Universe aims to provide affordable accommodations for park-goers. Situated adjacent to its sister property, Stella Nova Resort, Terra Luna offers 750 double-queen guest rooms designed for families and budget travelers.
Rooms at Terra Luna start at $147 per night, a competitive rate compared to similar options at Walt Disney World, which generally range higher. These hotels are specifically positioned for guests eager to visit Epic Universe rather than Universal Studios Florida or its other attractions, providing a unique convenience.
‘We invite guests to explore the unknown and step onto otherworldly planets that have yet to be discovered,’ said a spokesperson for Universal Orlando. The resort’s theme features a ‘space-age’ design with color schemes meant to evoke a galactic feel. However, critics argue the design resembles mid-century styles without a strong outer space theme.
Visitors will find the accommodations equipped with modern amenities, including a mini-fridge and various lighting options. However, some guests are disappointed with features, such as the absence of Keurig coffee machines and dining options that reportedly provide slow service.
The hotel showcases a compact layout, promising short walking times to major facilities like the pool and restaurants. Despite its practicality, some guests noted a lack of engaging outdoor spaces in the property.
Dining options at Terra Luna include Omega Cafe, which offers made-to-order meals, and poolside options like Moonrise Bar. While the quality is higher than many Disney resorts, guests have voiced concerns about the slow service. Many have commented that the high prices for food on-site may be off-putting.
The biggest advantage of staying at Terra Luna is its proximity to Epic Universe, located just a 10-12 minute walk away. Universal provides transportation options, including shuttle buses, for those who prefer not to walk, but many guests appreciate the accessibility.
While the new resort has received mixed reviews regarding its design and amenities, its location is touted as a significant draw, especially for those looking for budget-friendly options close to one of the most anticipated theme park expansions.
