Veteran Nollywood actor Emmanuel France has passed away. Reports indicate that France, who was celebrated for his multiple significant roles in Nollywood cinema, has died at an age likely in his 80s.

French was renowned for his performances in popular films such as “Cross My Sin,” “She Is My Sister,” and “The Director.” The announcement of his passing was confirmed by Nigerian filmmaker Femi Ogedengbe, who shared the news with deep regret on his Instagram account on Monday. Ogedengbe expressed his sorrow and reminisced about the memorable times they spent together, saying, “Rest in peace to one of Nollywood’s legends, Uncle Emmanuel France. One of the actors I took to Tanzania in 2006. We shot three movies together: Cross My Sin, She Is My Sister, and The Director. R.I.P.”

As of the time this report was published, the cause of France’s death has not yet been confirmed. His passing has reportedly left fans, friends, and colleagues in both shock and grief.
