Starbucks Cup Offensive Message

MIDDLETOWN, Ohio — An Ohio woman was shocked to receive an offensive message on her Starbucks cup while ordering her favorite drink on Sunday evening. Autumn Perkins, a resident of Middletown, visited a Starbucks located inside a Kroger store to place her order for a mint majesty with two honeys.

Upon receiving her drink, Perkins discovered the words “racist’s fav drink” scrawled on the side of the cup. “It’s time for people to stop this nonsense,” Perkins said in an interview with Fox News Digital. She explained that after discussing the incident with the manager, she learned that the employee responsible for the message had admitted to writing it and was subsequently fired.

“I would agree that people should be fired if they’re doing something like this,” Perkins stated. She emphasized the importance of mutual respect, saying, “We can disagree on a lot of things, but we respect each other. We can’t communicate and grow if we’re disrespecting each other.”

A spokesperson for Starbucks condemned the incident, stating, “Writing this on a cup is unacceptable, and we have clear policies that prohibit negative messages to help preserve a welcoming environment.” The spokesperson added that the Kroger-operated location was aware of the terminations made in response to the incident.

In a follow-up, Perkins said she frequently visits Starbucks but no longer plans to do so. “I don’t intend to spend another penny — and as far as I’m concerned, neither will my children or anybody else in my family who will listen to me,” she noted.
