Pacers Extend Win Streak with 108-96 Victory Over Short-Handed Warriors
INDIANAPOLIS — Tyrese Haliburton and Pascal Siakam each scored 25 points Friday night, leading the Indiana Pacers to a 108-96 victory over the Golden State Warriors at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The win extended Indiana’s streak to five games, matching its longest of the season.
Haliburton added 10 assists, while Siakam contributed 10 rebounds, showcasing their dual-threat capabilities. The Pacers seized control with a decisive 17-2 run in the second quarter, turning a one-point deficit into a 15-point lead. Golden State, missing six key players including All-Stars Stephen Curry and Draymond Green, struggled to recover.
Buddy Hield, a former Pacer, led the Warriors with 17 points, while Pat Spencer matched his season high with 17 points. Golden State head coach Steve Kerr cited injuries as the reason for resting Curry (knee) and Green (back). Despite the absences, the Warriors fought back, cutting the halftime deficit to five and pulling within three early in the third quarter. However, Indiana consistently responded to every Golden State rally.
“It’s hard to take much out of a game with so many key players on the bench,” Kerr said. “But our guys played hard, and Pat Spencer and Trayce Jackson-Davis showed some bright spots.”
Indiana’s momentum continues to build, with all five wins during the streak coming by double digits. Haliburton has rediscovered his All-Star form, and the team’s depth has been a key factor. The Pacers outscored Golden State 54-46 in the paint, overcoming a slow start from beyond the arc.
Golden State, now on a four-game road trip, will face the Toronto Raptors on Monday. Indiana, meanwhile, travels to Cleveland for a Sunday matchup.
