Pacifica’s Iconic Taco Bell Cantina Temporarily Closes for Remodel
The Taco Bell Cantina in Pacifica, often celebrated as the “most scenic fast food spot” due to its beachside location, is temporarily closed for a two-week remodel. The closure, which began on Sunday, January 5, 2025, was announced by company executive James Aman in a social media post. Aman shared a photo of a large sign reading “Closed for remodel” displayed on the restaurant’s doors.
The Pacifica Taco Bell Cantina has become a local landmark, drawing visitors not only for its menu but also for its stunning oceanfront views. While details about the remodel remain unclear, fans of the location are hopeful that its signature walk-up window will remain intact. The restaurant is expected to reopen by mid-January, though no official reopening date has been confirmed.
Meanwhile, San Francisco‘s West Portal neighborhood is preparing for the opening of a new European-inspired doughnut shop. Led by pastry chef Janina O’Leary, the shop, set to open on Friday, January 10, will offer a variety of doughnuts, including brioche, crullers, cake, and filled options. A unique “doughnut hole flight” will also be available, alongside sandwiches and salads.
