Paris Hilton Y2k Closet Sale Fashion Auction

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. — Paris Hilton, the reality TV star known for her early 2000s style, has opened her closet to benefit victims of the recent Los Angeles wildfires. Teaming up with the fashion resale platform Vestiaire Collective, Hilton listed nearly 100 items she describes as ‘personal treasures’ to raise money for those impacted by the fires.

The sale, which took place on February 19, featured luxury brands including Mugler, Balenciaga, Versace, and Miu Miu. Among the standout items was an iconic purple velour Juicy Couture tracksuit, a staple of Hilton’s wardrobe, and a metallic pink leather trench coat by Kalore. ‘I’ve always embraced taking risks and having fun with fashion,’ Hilton said in a statement. ‘I hope the pieces in my closet inspire others to experiment with their style and celebrate originality.’

This initiative follows a trend of celebrities donating personal items for charitable causes, as seen with Kate Moss and Julianne Moore in October, who contributed to Conservation International. Hilton’s collection rapidly sold out, with most items disappearing within three hours. All proceeds will support wildfire charities through her nonprofit organization, 11:11 Media Impact.

In January, Hilton’s Malibu home was among the many properties destroyed by the wildfires, affecting thousands of Californians. ‘This sale will support my charity’s work around relief efforts for the devastating LA fires and our ongoing mission to protect vulnerable youth from child abuse and bring hope to those in need,’ Hilton said. The closet sale represents a blend of Hilton’s passion for fashion and her commitment to philanthropy.

The collection included a Pamela Roland pink sequined dress, which sold for over $1,900. The benefit comes in the wake of a concert that raised approximately $156 million for wildfire recovery, featuring performances from numerous notable artists.

As Hilton continues to make an impact in both fashion and philanthropy, fans can expect similar initiatives in the future. ‘I can’t think of a better way to combine my greatest passions than with a closet sale,’ she added. The sale not only emphasizes the culture of charity in fashion but also promotes the importance of sustainability in the industry.
