LOWER SOUTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA — PECO Energy announced an overnight utility construction project that will close a section of County Line Road starting Monday, June 2. The work will last nearly two weeks and will affect parts of Philadelphia and Lower Southampton Township.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation stated that the closures will occur Mondays through Thursdays from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM. The affected stretch of County Line Road runs between Bustleton Pike (Route 532) and Barcalow Street.

Drivers are advised to use detour routes during the closure, specifically Bustleton Pike (Route 532), Street Road (Route 132), and Second Street Pike (Route 232). Local access for residents and businesses will remain open.

Motorists should prepare for delays and allow extra travel time when navigating the area. PECO Energy emphasized that all scheduled activities are weather-dependent, and the timeline may change based on conditions.

Local officials urge drivers to exercise caution and heed all detour signs to ensure safety in the work zones. Residents can visit local news outlets for real-time updates and additional information regarding the construction.
