Philadelphia Phillies Game Delayed Due to Weather Forecast
The Philadelphia Phillies game against the Cincinnati Reds scheduled for Wednesday has been delayed once again due to the inclement weather forecast in the Philadelphia region.
The start time, initially moved from 1:05 p.m. to 4:05 p.m. on Tuesday night, is now rescheduled to take place between 7:30 and 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday at Citizens Bank Park.
The current weather system in Philadelphia is causing waves of rain, adding 1.37 inches of rainfall on Tuesday alone with the possibility of more rain on Wednesday, heightening concerns for the game.
Forecasts suggest that the most active rain period on Wednesday will be between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., prompting a Flood Watch in effect for the region until 6 p.m. Thursday as a precautionary measure.
The Philadelphia Phillies management made the decision to push back the game start time in order to provide both teams with the best opportunity to successfully complete the series at hand.
Despite the delayed start time, all fans holding tickets and parking passes for Wednesday’s game will still be honored, with gates at Citizens Bank Park set to open at 2:35 p.m. to accommodate attendees.
Third-party ticket holders who purchased seats for the original 1:05 p.m. start time should adhere to the revised 4:05 p.m. start time as announced by the Phillies.
Fans who secured tickets for Wednesday’s game will also be rewarded with a special 2024 ticket offer early next week, as a gesture of appreciation for their understanding and support.
In their latest game, the Philadelphia Phillies emerged victorious against the Cincinnati Reds with a 9-4 scoreline, with standout performances from players like Bryce Harper, who delivered an impressive three home runs, including a grand slam in the seventh inning.
