DES MOINES, Iowa – The Powerball jackpot has climbed to a staggering $461 million for the upcoming drawing this Monday night, as no player matched the winning numbers in the previous drawing on Saturday.

The winner of the jackpot can opt for a one-time cash payment of $217.2 million. Saturday’s drawing also saw no winners for the $2 million and $1 million prizes, leaving players eagerly anticipating the next opportunity for a life-changing win.

According to lottery officials, an Oregan player won a significant prize on January 18, but details regarding that win are limited. The winning numbers for Monday’s drawing, scheduled to take place just after 11 p.m. ET, will be posted after the event.

Lottery enthusiasts can participate in the next Powerball drawing set for Wednesday, March 26, with the same timing. To enter, players need to purchase a $2 ticket, which is widely available at local convenience stores, gas stations, and grocery outlets. In several states, tickets can also be ordered online.

Participants must select six numbers: five white balls ranging from 1 to 69, and one red Powerball from 1 to 26. An optional “Power Play” feature is available for an additional dollar, allowing players to increase non-jackpot winnings with multipliers of 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X, or even 10X.

To simplify the selection process, players can use the “Quick Pick” option, where a computer generates random numbers for their ticket. To win the jackpot, all five white balls must be matched in any order, along with the red Powerball.

Powerball drawings occur on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday evenings. If the jackpot remains unclaimed, the amount will continue to grow until a winner emerges. Lottery tickets can be bought in person at various locations, including some airport terminals.

In states such as Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Idaho, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Puerto Rico, Washington D.C., and West Virginia, players can also order their tickets online. The Jackpocket app serves as the official digital lottery courier for the USA Today Network, allowing users to choose their games and numbers, view downloads, and collect winnings through their mobile devices or computers.

Players must be at least 18 years old to participate in the lottery, with some varying age requirements, such as 21 in Arizona and 19 in Nebraska. For those dealing with gambling issues, resources are available through various helplines.

For further details on ticket purchase methods and the latest announcements, players are encouraged to refer to state lottery websites or the USA Today Network.
