Mike Lawler Fundraising Announcement

Washington, D.C. — Rep. Mike Lawler, R-N.Y., will announce later today that he has raised $1.1 million in the third quarter of 2025. This figure marks the strongest quarterly fundraising for the congressman during a non-election year.

Lawler’s campaign spokesman, Chris Russell, stated that the impressive fundraising total reflects the effectiveness of their campaign message, saying, “our message is winning, and our ground game is unmatched.” He emphasized that Lawler is building a diverse coalition consisting of working families, labor, law enforcement, Republicans, independents, and mainstream Democrats.

Russell highlighted Lawler’s successes, including his work on the SALT tax deduction and tax relief efforts aimed at middle-class families. “Congressman Lawler delivered on SALT, secured historic tax relief for middle and working-class families and will keep focusing on commonsense solutions that make life more affordable and Hudson Valley communities safer,” Russell said.

With this latest fundraising achievement, Lawler’s campaign now holds $2.8 million cash on hand and has raised $3.9 million for the entire 2026 election cycle so far.

New York’s 17th Congressional District, which Lawler represents, is essential for the GOP’s strategy. The district is currently rated +1 in favor of Democrats by the nonpartisan Cook Political Report. It has already seen significant interest from Democratic challengers, with at least eight candidates preparing for a primary next year.

Democratic candidate Cait Conley raised over $500,000 in the same quarter, while former Briarcliff Manor Mayor Peter Chatzky and Rockland County legislator Beth Davidson raised over $340,000 and $370,000, respectively.

Lately, Lawler has pointed to Democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani‘s candidacy for New York City mayor as a potential issue for Democrats. In a prior statement, he said, “This is a time for choosing. Do they align themselves with a radical socialist who engages in antisemitism, hates the police, believes that illegal immigrants should have free everything, and is basically going to destroy the finances of New York City?”
