Resume Scrolled at Jonas Brothers Concert Goes Viral on TikTok
Buffalo, New York — A man’s resume went viral after a concertgoer noticed it during a Jonas Brothers concert on Sunday. Jen Wilson recorded a fellow fan scrolling through a PDF titled “Scott Kelly Resume Sept 2025” and shared the video on TikTok, where it received over 45 million views.
The incident occurred as Wilson and her roommate cheered for the Jonas Brothers at the KeyBank Center. After posting the video, she was surprised by the overwhelming response, particularly from fans and brands. Many commenters wished the resume owner well and some even humorously claimed to know him.
Scott Kelly, 36, from Syracuse, New York, was unaware of his newfound fame until a friend texted him while he was attending a virtual class on Monday. “I would’ve bet every dollar I own … that this would never happen,” Kelly told the Washington Post.
A copy of Kelly’s resume highlighted his experience in telecommunications and his service in the U.S. Army. Twitter was abuzz with comments, including from Nick Jonas, who mentioned Kelly’s work ethic inspired a lyric in the song “Burnin’ Up.”
Brandon Bieron, the man who was scrolling through the resume at the concert, explained that he was considering hiring and a colleague had emailed him Kelly’s resume earlier that day. “Talent waits for nobody,” he said. “And I started looking through it.”
Wilson recorded the moment during the concert without the man’s knowledge. After enjoying the show, she posted the video on TikTok with supportive wishes for Kelly. “I really didn’t expect anything out of it,” she said.
As the video gained traction, several companies began to comment on the post. Old Navy praised Kelly’s professional attire, while Kia expressed admiration for his drive. In a light-hearted comment, Monopoly cited Kelly’s reliability, stating, “Scott Kelly is always on time with the rent.”
Despite the excitement, Kelly mentioned he has not recently applied for jobs. He expressed gratitude for the supportive comments and the unexpected attention. “It’s nice for folks to have that much faith in a stranger,” Kelly said.
After hearing about the viral video, Bieron reached out to Kelly, who is currently employed but is open to exploring new opportunities. “My inbox is so flooded with opportunities right now,” Kelly added. “It’s hard to know where I’m going to start.”
Both men plan to meet for coffee this Friday, aiming to discuss professional avenues and share their unique experiences stemming from the viral moment.
