CC Sabathia and Ichiro Suzuki Highlight 2025 Baseball Hall of Fame Ballot
Former MLB pitcher CC Sabathia is among the 14 newcomers on the 2025 Baseball Hall of Fame ballot, announced on Monday. Sabathia had a distinguished career spanning 19 seasons, playing for the Cleveland Indians (2001-2008), Milwaukee Brewers (2008), and the New York Yankees (2009-2019).
Sabathia’s impressive resume includes being a six-time All-Star, winning the 2007 American League Cy Young Award, and securing a World Series title in 2009 with the Yankees. He compiled a record of 251-161 with a 3.74 ERA and 3,093 strikeouts, placing him third among left-handed pitchers in strikeouts behind Randy Johnson and Steve Carlton.
His career highlights also include his consistent performance over nearly two decades, making him a significant figure in modern baseball history. Sabathia joins other notable newcomers on the ballot, including Ichiro Suzuki, Félix Hernández, Dustin Pedroia, and Hanley Ramírez, among others.
The voting process for the Hall of Fame will conclude by the end of the year, with results to be announced on January 21, 2025. Players need to receive at least 75% of the votes to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
