Seattle Seahawks Vs New York Giants

The Seattle Seahawks are gearing up for an important conference game against the New York Giants at Lumen Field, though they are contending with several injuries. Rookie defensive tackle Byron Murphy II and second-year nose tackle Cameron Young will miss the game due to injuries. Murphy has been sidelined with a hamstring issue that prevented him from practicing for the second week in a row. Young, having recently resumed limited practice, needs more time to return to full fitness following an extended absence.

The Seahawks have also listed linebacker Boye Mafe and safety Julian Love as questionable. Mafe is recovering from a knee injury that kept him out of last week’s game against the Detroit Lions, whereas Love exited Monday’s game with a thigh injury. Positive signs have emerged as Love fully participated in the last two practices, boosting hopes for his availability on Sunday. “It was a good week of practice for both guys. They’re both working through their individual things and it’s positive,” said head coach Mike Macdonald when updating on their status.

In contrast, linebacker Uchenna Nwosu appears poised to make his season debut following a knee injury during the preseason. Nwosu managed to practice for three consecutive days this week. Additionally, Leonard Williams, who has dealt with a ribs injury, has not received a game status designation, suggesting his readiness to compete against his former team. Inside linebackers Tyrel Dodson and Jerome Baker are cleared to play, recovering from various injuries.

For the Giants, rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers is ruled out as he remains in concussion protocol after sustaining the injury against the Cowboys. Questions also surround their leading rusher, Devin Singletary, who is doubtful due to a groin injury. Moreover, cornerbacks Adoree’ Jackson and Dru Phillips are listed as questionable owing to calf injuries, limiting their participation in practices.
