Shoaib Malik Ties the Knot with Pakistani Actress Sana Javed Amid Speculations of Separation from Sania Mirza

Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik has shocked fans as he announced his unexpected second marriage to Pakistani actress Sana Javed, sparking further speculations about his separation with Indian tennis legend Sania Mirza.

The 41-year-old all-rounder took to social media to share pictures from their wedding ceremony, captioning it with the words, ‘And we created you in pairs.’

Rumors about Malik’s relationship with Javed had been circulating for some time. Last year, the former Pakistan captain had wished the actress on her birthday, referring to her as a ‘buddy,’ which only fueled the speculations.

Malik had previously expressed support for Javed when she faced criticism for her alleged rude behavior on set. He vouched for her professionalism and kindness based on his personal experience of working with her.

This surprising wedding announcement comes amid rumors of trouble in Malik’s marriage to Sania Mirza, whom he married in Hyderabad back in 2010 in a traditional Muslim ceremony. The couple later held a Walima ceremony in Sialkot, Pakistan, and they share a son named Izhaan, born in 2018.

Although details about the reported separation remain unclear, it is believed to have occurred sometime in the first half of 2021. Mirza and Malik previously portrayed a strong bond on social media, sharing pictures and stories of their travels and family life. However, their online presence gradually diminished over time.

Last year, the couple teamed up for a TV show titled ‘The Mirza Malik Show‘ on Spotify, where they hosted various celebrities in 40-minute-long episodes. The show aimed to provide a glimpse into their personal and professional lives.

Interestingly, this is not the first time Malik’s marital status has been a topic of discussion. Before marrying Mirza, he was alleged to have been secretly married to Ayesha Siddiqui. However, Malik denied these claims, describing the whole episode as a case of fraud. He sent a legal notice to the father of Ayesha, MA Siddiqui, in response to the allegations made by her and her sister Maha.

Shoaib Malik, known for his impressive cricket career, continues to play in T20 leagues around the world and has not officially retired from the format.
