LOS ANGELES, CA — Starz has canceled its crime drama series ‘BMF‘ after four seasons, Variety confirmed on October 29, 2025. The series finale aired on August 15, wrapping up the story of brothers Demetrius ‘Big Meech’ Flenory and Terry Flenory.

‘BMF’ debuted on Starz in 2021 and chronicled the rise of the Black Mafia Family, a notorious gang that originated in Detroit during the 1980s. The show garnered attention for its portrayal of real-life events and included a cast led by Demetrius Flenory Jr. and Da'Vinchi.

Randy Huggins created the series and worked as an executive producer alongside Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson, who also produced the show through his G-Unit Film and Television company. Despite being a notable part of Jackson’s portfolio, season four reportedly fell short of network expectations, leading to reduced subscriber numbers for Starz.

The show’s final season featured climactic moments, including a cliffhanger where Big Meech was arrested, a plot point that left fans wanting more. However, issues between Jackson and Flenory over years of feud and allegations appeared to impact the show’s production.

As part of the cancellation, Starz’s lineup now consists primarily of ‘Power’ spinoffs, including ‘Raising Kanan’ and ‘Force,’ both nearing their final seasons. Jackson remains involved in other projects, including several upcoming series and films.

While ‘BMF’ has concluded, discussions about potential spin-offs are reportedly still in their early stages at Starz, keeping the door open for future stories related to the Black Mafia Family.
